The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has Earned another Global Distinction as it has emerged 97th best University across the globe and 20th in Asia Pacific in the Subject of Agriculture sciences on the bases of Scientific Paper, according to (NTU)

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has earned another global distinction as it has emerged 97th best university across the globe and 20th in Asia Pacific in the subject of agriculture sciences on the bases of Scientific Paper, according to National Taiwan University (NTU) Ranking 2014 released on October 9. In the subject of Plant and Animal Sciences, it has attained 247 position worldwide and 42nd in Asia Pacific. Last year, in the NTU Global Ranking www.nturanking.tw 2013, the University has emerged first-ever Pakistani institution ranked world top 100 universities in any category with 98th position. Now, it has jumped another number and has got 97th position in agriculture sciences with 55.4 score. Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, the UAF is opening new chapter of glory. The 2014 Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities is released by the National Taiwan University Ranking (NTU Ranking). Formerly known as the HEEACT Ranking during 2007-2010, this ranking program offers annual performance rankings for world universities based on the production and impact of their scientific papers. The Performance Ranking is based on statistics of scientific papers which reflect three major performance criteria—research productivity, research impact, and research excellence. More information about ranking program is available at http://nturanking.lis.ntu.edu.tw/ It is worth mentioning here that the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST) has also ranked the University as top university of Pakistan in the Degree Awarding Institutions for the Year 2013with highest score of 779.17 among all universities. The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking also placed the UAF as 35th position in specialized higher education institutions worldwide. UAF is also a winner of 2012 Science and Technology Prize 2012 announced by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) from among the 57 Islamic countries.
