CDG Faisalabad Renames Road Leading to UAF as Agriculture University Road.

City District Government (CDG) has named the road starting from University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) ZA Hashmi Crossing to Hilal-e- Ahmar Crossing as Agriculture University Road. The inaugural ceremony of renaming held here on Monday was chaired by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal along with UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. UAF Registrar Ch Muhammad Hussain and all deans, directors, principal officers and heads of various departments were present on the occasion. The DCO said that city main roads are being renamed on the names of legends of the city who made enormous contributions in their respective domains. He said that the project of renaming was meant to pay the tribute to the legends and make them alive in the minds and hearts of the new generation. He said that the UAF is the oldest agricultural educational and research institutions that played a pivotal role in the green revolutions and in the efforts to ensure food security. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan lauded the efforts being carried out by the district government to inspire the younger generation from the glorious work of legends. He also announced that the names of the UAF inbuilt roads, squares and building would also be tagged on the names of persons who made history in their respective fields.
