INDIGENOUS ON-CAMPUS TRAINING (IOT) UNDER MODERN UNIVERSITY GOVERNANCE PROGRAM Financial Management Inventory Control & Project Management (September 1st – 5th, 2014)

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Monday September 1, 2014 kicked off five-day Financial Management Inventory Control & Project Management Indigenous on-campus Training under Modern University Governance Programme meant to polish administrative skills of varsity staff. The training is organized by Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), UAF in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission. The training is organized on the directives of the HEC. Chairing the inaugural session, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Dean Prof Dr Laeeq Akbar Lodhi urged staff to work with dedication. The training will help them enhance their working with the capacity building. He said that skilled manpower was prerequisite to compete with the rest of the world. He also stressed the need for reviving and promoting our values among the society. He said that patience is decreasing among the society. The trend needs to be curtailed. Treasurer Umer Saeed said that the UAF is enhancing its own resources. He said that the UAF research funding has exceeded to Rs 2 billion. He said that the varsity is taking all tangible step to provide the state-of-the-art facilities to the students. ORIC Director Prof Dr Rao Asif Ali said that University was committed to produce the skilled manpower. The trainings held for the non-teaching staff will equip them with the modern knowledge. He said that capacity building of the staff were essential to flourish the institutions. IT Director Farjeel Javed said that adoption of Information Technology was imperative in the modern world. He said that the world had become the global village, thanks to IT. Lecturer IqraShgufta said that effective communication was prerequisite to prove the mettle in yours field. She urged the participants to polish their skills. Lecturer Ayesha Asghar talked about the counseling and ways to control the temper. She said that trend of losing the temper in our society is common. She called for curtailing the trend.
