International Capacity Building Workshop

The latest teaching techniques promotion will pave the way to progress keeping the challenges of modern world in view in the shape of trained manpower. This was stated by speakers at the international capacity building workshop of UAF Faculty in the enquiry based learning. It was arranged by Faculty of Social Sciences in collaboration with British Council. Addressing on the occasion, Dr Tracey Speake from University of Manchester stressed the need to promote the enquiry based technique in the country in order to compete the rest of the world. She said that the involving the students in the debate during the lecture is vital in order to give voice to their views and find the solution of the different problem facing the humanity. Dr Ruth Grady University of Manchester said EBL courses enables the students to put the knowledge to the use in different situation. She hoped that the workshop will bring the tangible results in term of promoting the techniques. Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Iqbal Zafar said the UAF was making all out efforts to promote the Massive Open Online Courses in order to promote the modern education to the people at their steps on a single click through internet. Institute of Agri Extension and Rural Development Director Prof Dr Tanvir Ali said that traditional way of teaching must be replaced with the EBL. Dr Nigghy Goldsborough from UK; Rural Sociology Chairman Prof Dr Ashfaq Maann and Assistant Prof Dr Shazia Yasmeen also spoke.
