UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad khan gives away a memento to renowned businessman Mian Muhammad Hanif during alumni meet of Laboratory High School of UAF

UAF Laboratory School System would be expended in various parts of Province particularly at Toba Tek Singh, Burewala, Vehari and Dera Ghazi Khan with innovative basic education solution. This was stated by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor while addressing as a Chief Guest at 1st Alumni Association Meet 2014 of Laboratory High School on Sunday. Dr. Khan Said that Old Boys Association Office has been inaugurated and data of successful and renowned Alumnus would be collected in order to streamlining the Office for the purpose of resource mobilization in the system. He said that Alumni Offices play vibrant role in rest of the World for up gradation of institutions with the help of Alumnus. Mian Muhammad Hanif, renowned business man and educationist urged the need for Old Boys chapter of Laboratory School and suggested Board of Governor comprising eminent personalities from all walks of life in order to run the school with pace and quality mechanism he announced Rs. 5 lac for the school and suggested to maintain a separate account for the purpose. Brig. Hamad Raza, Guest of honour shared his nostalgic memories of his school days and said that he was proud to be the Product of School System. He proposed that annual old boys meeting should be the regular feature of school and meeting should have to be scheduled every year in a ceremony of result announcements. Mr. Nadeem Aftab Sindhu, Chairman Mediacom urged the need for launching scholarship program for needy students with the help of Old Boys in this regard he offered his firm commitment to provide resources for the purpose. He lauded the character building initiatives being practiced at Laboratory School since many decades. Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman, Principal Community College said that Laboratory Girls and Boys Schools have been up graded as Higher Secondary Schools where as Laboratory school at PARS will soon be up graded. He added that some new outlets of the school system would be inaugurated in various parts of Town. Principal Higher Secondary School, Dr. Mehmood-ul-Hassan, Sardar Muhammad Sajid and Gulzar Ahmad also spoke on the occasion.
