The four-week training workshop on Financial and Administrative Management and E Governance for the officials and management of Agriculture Department Punjab (Research Wing ) has concluded at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF).

The ceremony arranged by Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) UAF was presided over by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf while Director General Ayub Agricultural Research Institute Dr Abid Mehmood, UAF Director ORIC Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir and Dr Abdul Rasheed also spoke on the occasion. Under the training, as many 53 officials of the Agriculture Department imparted training. Dr Muhammad Ashraf added that the course of the said four weeks training was designed keeping challenges and latest tools and practices in view in order to compete with the rest of the world. He directed the participants to work with full devotion and honesty that will open up new avenue of the development and prosperity for the country. He said it is need of the hour to promote the latest trend to enhance productivity. He said that with the advancement in the management tools, it will not only improve efficiency but also help increase agricultural productivity. He lauded the steps of the government to boost up efficiency and working conditions at the government departments. Dr Abid Mehmood DG Ayub Research said that Punjab government has made it mandatory for promotion of the officers of Research Wing to undergo this professional training. Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir said as many as 26 resource persons gave the training in the workshop. He said that the training of another batch of 54 officials of the Punjab Agriculture Department was kicking off from today (Jan 21).
