The University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the Research Centre for Modeling and Simulation (RCMS), National University of Science and Technology (NUST) will collaborate in the areas of bioinformatics and system engineering

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the Research Centre for Modeling and Simulation (RCMS), National University of Science and Technology (NUST) will collaborate in the areas of bioinformatics and system engineering. It was discussed at meeting between the UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and RCMS Principal Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Ejaz Nadeem at VC Chamber on Tuesday. Ejaz Munir said that system engineering was getting immense importance in the modern world. Because of technological advancement, the world has become global village. We should benefit from each other experiences, he said, adding that the collaboration will help in opening up new horizon in the said fields. He congratulated the UAF for entering in the list of top 100 universities of the world in agricultural sciences, according to the National Taiwan University ranking. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that the University had launched Food Engineering Programme in collaboration with the University of Putra Malaysia to train manpower in the said field. The university has also initiated 32 new degree programmes in order to meet the demands of the industry. He said that the University was taking all possible steps to ensure the quality education. The Vice Chancellor said that it was the need of the hour to transfer the knowledge into goods and services. Keeping in view the UAF has paced up its outreach programme, he added.
