The University of Agriculture Faisalabad will set up Centre for Human Health and Bio Medical Sciences in order to conduct valuable researches on different diseases and human health to serve the humanity. It was decided at Deans Directors Committee Meeting that was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan at Syndicate Room. The meeting also decided to establish a Centre for Neuro Cognitive to provide the counseling for general public to deal with different tensions. Talking about education, the Vice Chancellor said that the country can make the progress rapidly by establishing the state-of-the-art Universities in under-developed districts and towns. He added that the University is opening up its offshoots in various districts in the country in a bid to provide quality education at the door step of inhabitants of these areas. He said that the University is taking all tangible steps to provide quality education to its students. He added that the two Lecture Theatre will be made functional after summer break that will give an opportunity to the students to teach 300 students under one roof with the usage of modern facilities like audio –videos facilities etc. It will also reduce the burden on the teachers by giving the lecture of common course of various discipline in one go, he said adding that the university is devising a system to upload lectures on the internet to facilitate the students. Disusing UAF run School System, the meeting decided to open up its franchises in different part of the country. The Vice Chancellor said that the university has made history by launching 32 new disciplines this year keeping in view the demand of modern era. The discipline will help the train manpower to catch up to the developed countries, he added.
