Inauguration of Saeed Ajmal International Cricket Academy’s Office situated at the UAF

The culture of sports needs to be encouraged in the youth by providing them state-of-the-art facilities in order to promote the healthy activities, helping them explore their God given abilities, said University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. He addressed the officials and students at the inauguration of Saeed Ajmal International Cricket Academy’s Office situated at the UAF. The Office was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and Renowned cricketer Saeed Ajmal. The work on the academy is in full swing that will be completed in three phases. All deans, directors, other UAF senior officers and cricket lovers were present on the occasion. Addressing on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that sports culture in the country is showing a declining trend because of excessive usage of modern technology. He stressed the need to provide a platform of sports to students to hone their creativity skills that will improve their confidence. He urged the students to develop the sportsman spirit in order to prove their mettle in their chosen field. He was of the view that the students need to build the skills to ‘create their own world ‘that will move the country to the new horizon of progress. The Vice Chancellor directed the officials to make all-out efforts to give the students guidance in order to taking part at the different national and international contests. He also directed to ensure state-of-the-art facilities to introduce new talents at the national level. Saeed Ajmal said that the academy will help the cricketer to polish their skills. He said that Pakistan is the blessed with the talents that need to be explored by giving them proper training.
