National Book Day celebrated at University of Agriculture Faisalabad

National Book Day celebrated at University of Agriculture Faisalabad to mark the day and inculcate the youth increase reading habit as the reading books is a testimony of civilized societies. Opening the event, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr. Nadeem Ul Haque emphasized the need to make the book a good friend that guides the readers quite accurately. He expressed his pleasure to be a part of national book day being celebrated at UAF and lauded the efforts of taking care kids of the society besides offering higher education by the UAF. He congratulated the Department of Library, Senior Tutor Office, Students’ Affairs, and UAF Community College for making excellent arrangements for holding the event. UAF VC Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said the book is a best gift we used to give to our love ones adding that we need to promote the reading habits. He told the UAF holds Book Exhibitions every year with millions of new books. He apprised the gathering that every year University spends millions of rupees for purchasing new books. Senior Tutor Dr. Aslam Pervaiz, Principal Officer Library Prof. Dr. Ihsan ul Haq, PO Students’ Affairs Prof. Dr. Hafeez Sadaqat, Dr. Riaz Majeed, and others spoke on the occasion and stressed the need of promoting the reading habits. Students of The Art Club presented a script of compression the book and internet.
