Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF presents memento to US Ambassador Mr. Richard Olson at Agri-Expo

University of Agriculture, Faisalabad had grabbed attention of tens of thousands people during agricultural exhibitions recently held at Islamabad organized by Chinese Cultural Centre as well as Agri Expo organized by a Private media group at Expo Centre Johar Town Lahore. This was told by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, on Tuesday while addressing the Scientists and Researchers of the University who had been the part of these exhibitions. He said that University was aggressively pursuing its outreach agenda in order to transfer modern technology at the doorstep of farming community. Dr. Khan maintained that at Agri-Expo at Lahore, Chief Guest Ambassador of USA Mr. Richard Olson during his speech particularly highlighted the collaboration of USAID with Pakistani R & D organizations. He gave only one example of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad amongst all Public & Private Sector Universities of the Country. UAF Vice Chancellor reiterated his commitment to translate knowledge into goods and services for the betterment of society as well as Rural Community. He was of the view that University had been opening and establishing its satellite campuses and centers keeping in view transforming agricultural productivity mechanism by evolving traditional agronomic practices into innovative solutions. He said that University will continue its journey towards agricultural productivity and food security with self-sufficiency in the country.
