Glimpses of Greyhound National Championship arranged by University of Agriculture Faisalabad

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has opened Greyhound National Championship in which 150 greyhounds are taking part. First of its kind, the Championship is a part of UAF ongoing Spring Festival which brings colourful events including agricultural exhibition, fancy bird show, pet show, tent pegging, farmer convention and alumni meet etc.a The festival is meant to provide a platform a farming community to interact with the agricultural experts that will help to increase per acre production of the county. The event arranged at Racecourse Ground, Jail Road, UAF, remained a source of attraction for the locals who came here to entertain and get refuge from their routine life. The Championship is divided into seven rounds that will continue till (today) Thursday’s late night. Ayub Agriculture Research Institute Director General Dr Noor-ul-Islam along with UAF Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqbal Zafar inaugurated the event. The prize distribution for the winners will be held on March 31. Under the Spring Festival, March 29 will bring agri exhibition and flower show at 9:00 am at UAF’s D Ground, Alumni Meet at 10:00 am; Fancy Bird Show at 12:15 pm, Pet Show at 12:30 pm; Seminar on Agri Entrepreneurial Growth and Employment Opportunity at 2:00pm; cattle show at 3:45 tent pegging at 4:15 pm sport competition at 5:00 pm and Mushara at 8:30 pm at Iqbal Auditorium. March 30 will be opened with Business Meeting of Alumni Association at 2:30 pm and cultural show at 8:30 pm. The programmes of March 31 include Farmers Convention at 10:30 am at Iqbal Auditorium. Prize Distribution of Exhibition, flower show and fancy bird and pet show at 3:00 pm at D Ground and prize Distribution of cattle show and tent pegging at 6:00 pm.
