Speakers at a seminar stressed upon the need to promote tolerance, ensure human rights, and women empowerment as a step towards development.

The event ‘Together we are for Pakistan’ was arranged by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with University of Agriculture Faisalabad at Iqbal Auditorium, UAF. Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed said that the country was achieved after great sacrifices. He added that we have to develop and promote the environment of tolerance in our society. He said that the practice of rights snubbing is common in our society which was against the golden principles of Islam. He added it is the need of hour to bring the reforms in our system. He said that Islam provides the guidelines in every sphere of the life. He said that in our society, the rights of the people were being denied for which stepped up efforts were required. Deputy Registrar Syed Qamar Bukhari urged the people to know yourself, sense of integrity, purification of thoughts and being aware of self-power to achieve anything. He urged them to play their due role in the development and prosperity of the country. He said that love is the nature of the human beings. He said that you can’t even force a kid to do something whereas due to caring words, a child act as per your guidance. Dr Ayesha Riaz Director Home Science UAF said that the peace is the prerequisite for the mental and country development. She added that the we have to empower the women so that they play their due role in the uplift of the country. The Ministry representative, Khurram Shahzad, said that we have to take the measure to increase the harmony in the society. He said that they were taking all possible measures for the said cause. Dr Asmat Naz from GCWUF said that the steps are afoot for women empowerment. She was of the view that the women must be provided enabling environment to compete and play their role in the prosperity of the country. Asma Aziz from GCWUF said that the Islam is the religion of peace which provides excellent rights to the all segment of the society.
