Laptop Distribution Ceremony

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has urged students to work hard, get modern education and play their role in the country's development and progress. He was addressing the laptop distribution ceremony among talented students at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, MPAs, MNAs and other notables were present on the stage. He said educated youth was surety of bright future of the country. As many as 4,080 male and 4,060 female students including 2,575 from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad got laptops at the ceremony. He said that Punjab government had introduced many reforms for educational sector in order to excel in the world. He said that these initiatives. The laptop distribution scheme worth 8 billion will give an access of modern researches and knowledge to 2,10,000 students. He said solar lamps worth 2.5 billion were being distributed among the talented students of schools. He added the Punjab Education Endowment Fund scholarships worth 10 billion would help talented and deserving students to continue their students. Establishment of Danish Schools, paid internship worth 1.5 billion are also among these steps. He said that the youths are the future builder of the country who must be equipped with modern education. He said that in India, Utter Pradesh Chief Minister has initiated the laptop scheme after inspiring from Punjab, Pakistan. Talking about the Metro Bus Service, he said Metro Bus service has changed the lifestyle of the poor. About 125,000 people are benefiting from this project on a daily basis.
