one-day exclusive training workshop on “Introduction to statistical software R”

Speakers of a training workshop urged the youth make statistical analysis of various issues and keep an analytically eye on the surroundings to execute correction decisions on the basis of such meaningful and substantial information supported with empirical evidence. Data analysis is a powerful tool for making correct and accurate decisions by using the results obtained after making data analysis of correlating and cross-tabling different variables that would help the researchers to see the issues in different perspectives. They were addressing the participants of one-day exclusive training workshop on “Introduction to statistical software R” here at Video Conference Room on Tuesday morning. UAF VC Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan as chief guest said that University takes pride in hosting such windows of opportunities of training beyond class room as technology has transformed the knowledge in a virtual class room adding that if we do not inter in the virtual education we will be unable to touch the height of the knowledge. He said that UAF management is working on a plan to make at least 50% curriculum available online within next three to four years that would be a fine mixture of real time class room and virtual learning thereby to make the education affordable as cast of doing business is rising with mounting inflation and disparities. He said that owing to heavy investment made by HEC during the last decade, today about 60,000 volume of scientific journals have been made online that would play an instrumental role in making the education accessible, affordable, and technologically in an advance fashion. Resource Person Dr. Muhammad Akram from Monash University, Australia highlighted various aspects of the training workshop and possible outcomes of the training. He assured that after completion of training workshop, a participant can obtained meaningful results of the issue under research that would certainly help him for correct decision making. Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences said that the faculty has so far produced about 70 PhDs, which is a hallmark of best R&D activities in the faculty. Director Institute of Agri. & Resource Economics Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq said that they are executing 4th consecutive event of capacity building during the last 15 days of the New Year.
