A 500 Kilo- Watt Solar Power Project would be set up at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) with the help of German Solar Energy Firm in order to trained Human Resource in Renewable Energy Sector of The country. In this regard a detailed joint meeting would be held on Nov. 19th at UAF to finalize SOPs between German firm and University of Agiculture Faisalabad. German Solar Energy Firm would also provide technical assistance to run the project successfully. Head of German Delegation, Mr. Fritz Bohmler while talking to University Scientists told that Germany has great potential to transfer renewable energy technology to various countries . He added that a high levell meeting would be held on 22nd Nov. at Lahore in order to set up solar energy units in Punjab Province. Mr. Norbrt Traublinger , Mr. Normet Franz . Mr. Arshad Mansoor and Mr. Shahzada Khurram were included in German Delegation. Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology while briefing the delegation said that UAF was striving for innovative solutions to cope with emerging energy and water crises. He also highlighted the main features of water conservation technology installed at Research Area of The University in order to transfer this technology to the farming community. Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Director Office of Research Innovations and Commercialization (ORIC) also briefed the German delegation regarding commercialization and entrepreneurial outcomes of technologies generated by UAF scientists. German Delegation visited Postgraduate Agricultural Research Station (PARS) Jhang road and witnessed various Projects. Delegation also inspected Entomological Department and National Institute of Food Science and Technology .
