Chief Guest UAF VC Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan inspects the stalls in Fun Fair organized by LGHS

A working women hostel would be completed by the end of this year with State-Of-The-Art living facilities at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) Main Campus. This was stated by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor while addressing the inaugural ceremony of 2-Day “Fun Fair” organized by Laboratory Girls High school (LGHS) on Tuesday. He added that this residential facility for 50 working women would be a symbol of comfortable living in all means. Dr. Khan was of the view that women empowerment was need of hour and UAF was striving for enabling women with entrepreneurial and vocational skills as well as research and innovative approaches. He stressed the students to equip themselves with modern technologies coupled with cooking, baking and other household skills. Prof. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman, Principal Officer Community College UAF highlighted the main features of skill development as well as certificate programs offered by University community college. He said that this is an American concept of modern education system which is being introduced ever first time in Pakistan. Headmistress LGHS, Mrs. Tasneem Zubair told that the purpose of this Fun Fair was to provide entertainment, household training and entrepreneurial skills to young school girls. She said that on second day cultural show would be held at Iqbal Auditorium UAF. Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, VC UAF visited various stalls of the Fun Fair and witnessed colorful cultural program arranged by the students.
