Chairman Punjab Sports Board and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz addresses the participants of laptop and internship letter distribution ceremony of Punjab Youth Laptop Internship Program UAF

A state of the art cricket academy would be set up at University of Agriculture Faisalabad aiming at equipping the local youth will techniques and skills to become international cricketers. This was announced by Chairman Punjab Sports Board and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz while addressing the participants of laptop and internship letter distribution ceremony of Punjab Youth Laptop Internship Program here at D-Ground of University of Agriculture Faisalabad as Chief Guest. Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said the proud youth of the province participated in Punjab Youth Festival had stunned the world by making 11 world records that is a testament of their immense talent and future ambitions. Highlighting various initiatives of Punjab Government, Hamza Shahbaz said besides making recruitments of thousands teachers on merit, and making the education accessible and affordable to the poor kids of far flung and neglected areas of the province through Danish Schools and provision of scholarships by PEEF, his party is providing numerous opportunities to the youth and making them empowered, employed and upholding merit in all provincial departments. He said the nature has endowed us with coals and gold reservoirs that can change the fate of the country but to execute such initiatives we need a transparent and merit lover leadership who can fetch foreign investment in the power and mining sector and steer the country out of crises. While criticizing the dictatorial era of last decade, he said the country spent 10 billion $ on war against terrorism and if that amount is being spent on education and vocational education, the country could be in different position. He said despite overwhelming corruption in PIA, Railway, Pakistan Steel Mills, OGRA, NICL and other organizations, he is optimistic that 64% youth of this country’s population will take the country on the way of success. During the ceremony evening students of UAF and GCUF were distributed Laptops and internship letters were handed over the thousands internees belonging to Faisalabad Division. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, GCUF VC Prof Dr. Zakir Hussain, MNA Abid Sher Ali, Chaudhry Asim Nazir, cricketer Saeed Ajmal and score of political activists participated in the ceremony. A guard of honor was presented by Punjab Police to the recipients of Laptops and Internship.
