Punjab Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan inaugurates the Bullock Race and Tent Pegging at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad on Rabi Festival 2012

Punjab Government was sowing seed of Folk Culture & Patriotism in Youth in order to harvest the crop of performance based excellence. This was stated by Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sana Ullah Khan while addressing the participants of Bullock Race and Tent Pegging organized by University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in connection with Rabi Kisaan Festival and Punjab Youth Festival 2012 at Race Course Ground of UAF on Saturday. Rana Sana Ullah Khan added that due to emergence of information technology it was the need hour to take our youth in to the grounds for competence and contests in the field of creativity. He maintained that Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Shahbaz Sharif had been providing atmosphere for performance to the youth of Punjab so that they could develop competence in accordance with International standards in various walks of life. He lauded the efforts of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad for the promotion of Agriculture and rural development coupled with cultural colors through festivals and farmers gatherings. Rana Sana Ullah Khan urged the youth to take part in such activities to preserve their own culture. Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF earlier said that such sort of events provide marketing opportunities as well as genetic resource preservation to exploit the potential of livestock sector. Dr. Khan added that UAF was promoting Rural Culture blended with innovative and research approaches through Rabi and Kharif Festivals twice in a year. He hoped that this initiative will become a landmark for the enhancement of agricultural productivity.
