Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, along with Faculty members and students participating in a walk to create awareness regarding "Dengue" at UAF Campus

UAF will join hands with SME, Govt. of the Punjab to augment and gear up the pace of agricultural development by putting focus on high value non traditional crops through encouraging the entrepreneurial business of medicinal plants, extracting oil from various plant species which has immense export potential in the world. The assertion was made in a meeting between UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan Khan (SI) and Chief Executive of SME Rana Siddiqu-ur-Rehman here at Syndicate Room of the University on Wednesday afternoon. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that UAF will organize series of events on Sunday September 2 at the Campus for creating awareness against Dengue among students and Campus community. He maintained that all offices and departments will remain open for the purpose. Dr. Khan lauded the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister for coping with catastrophic like situations particularly hazards of Dengue in the province. He said that UAF scientists are playing key role to overcome this crises in Punjab level. Dr. Khan hoped that due to preventive measures and yearlong planning by Government of Punjab the intensity of Dengue will remain at the minimum level. He reiterated his commitment to keep the environment of UAF Campus as a Dengue Free with hygienic parameters. He asked the Public Relations Department that a massive awareness campaign may be carried out through FM UAF (100.4) and other mediums of Mass Communication at division level. Chairman Department of Agri. Entomology, Prof. Dr. Anjum Sohail, Career Development Centre, Program Officers Miss Asifa and Miss Aneela Javed also address the participants of Walk. Walk started from Department of Entomology and ended at Circuit House CDC department.
