The 65th Independence Day Celebrations

The 65th Independence Day of the homeland celebrated with traditional zeal and fervor and a renewed commitment to make the motherland prosperous and impregnable. The day at University of Agriculture Faisalabad was started with thanks giving and special prayers for the solidarity and stability of the country at main mosque of the University where the participants renewed their commitment to serve it with zeal and sincerity. The flag hoisting ceremony was the major event of the day flowed by national anthem, patriotic songs, tablus and performance of the students of Laboratory Schools and special children of the Day Care Center held at Iqbal Auditorium with Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan Vice Chancellor as chief guest. The students paid rich tributes to the founding father, the Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and the great thinker and philosopher, Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal, who gave Muslims of the sub-continent the idea of a separate homeland. Addressing the participants UAF VC Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan congratulated the participants of celebrating 65th Independence Day of the homeland and vowed to leave no stone unturned for prosperity and solidarity of the country. He said that UAF has recently been declared 2nd best university of the country in terms of highest number of publications by HEC which is a testament of its commitment and forwardness. He told that during the last four years, the management of the University sent hundreds of the faculty members for higher education in the technologically advanced countries of the world and number of TTS faculty has been raised to manifolds. He told that UAF management is working on encouraging the BPS faculty and soon new avenues would be open for BPS faculty members. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jalal Arif Principal Officer Public Relations & Publications in his welcome address acknowledged the services of the staff in marking new chapters of success and putting UAF on the new horizon.
