Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice chancellor UAF addresses the farewell party of 6-Security Personnel at Student teacher Centre (STC) Hall

University of Agriculture, Faisalabad has installed 52 Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras keeping in view to ensure watch & Ward system at the campus in this regard all entry points to the campus have been closed for security purpose. This was stated by Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Vice Chancellor UAF while addressing the farewell party of 6-Security Personnel at Student teacher Centre (STC) Hall here on Thursday. Dr. Iqrar told that only main gate at jail road would be remained open for visitors and other campus communities. He added that security personnel’s were rendering their services for assuring better security atmosphere at the campus and it would be remembered forever. Dr. Khan added that University employees are equally respectable from BPS-1 to BPS-22 and contributing with zeal and enthusiasm for the betterment of institution. Dr. Farooq Ahmad Principal Officer Security & Estate Management while addressing the ceremony said that a Paradigm Shift has been witnessed as for as security arrangements are concerned. He maintained that “Chowkedara” System was replaced with new security trained staff well equipped with modern weapons, information technology tools and loyalty with institution. Mr. Shehzad Mehmood, Estate Officer told that during last 4 years security staff number enhanced from 73 to 143. He added that in various shifts security officials remain alert round the clock and ensuring their mobility in order to secure the campus community. He said that security officials are also serving as Rescue workers and disaster management staff. In the end, Chief Guest Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan distributed gifts among outgoing security officials Rana Muhammad Ali, Security Supervisor, Raja Khan, Manzoor Chiragh, Abdul Aziz Butt, Muhammad Yousaf, Muhammad Younas, M. Ismaeel and Muhammad Boota.
