Youth Seminar arranged by UAF Career Development Center

The destiny of a nation is vested with the youth as these are the people if guided correctly, they can modify the course of their nation. They have the might of extensive thinking, hard struggle, innovation and advancement. This was stated by president of the Positive Pakistan Mr. Abid Iqbal Khari while addressing a youth seminar arranged by UAF Career Development Center, Dept. of Women Development Government of the Punjab in collaboration with Positive Pakistan at Nestle Hall, National Institute of Food Science & Technology, University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Friday morning. Mr. Abid Iqbal Khari, who is a renowned consultant and host of Pakistan Television, said the today Pakistan is bestowed with the demographic dividend as more than half population of the country comprises on youth but we need to engage them properly by heavily investing on education and provide them equal chance to excel in their endeavors. He said that young people are always in search of truth, they are open to different ideas contrary to the people who are mature and old. He said that Hazrat Allama Muhammad Iqbal realized the strength of youth in these wordings "I have love for those youngsters who pull down the stars." Mr. Abid Iqbal Khari said unfortunately today the youth are used and manipulated by different groups of the society. “The Youth need to remain focus only on education and produce good results as they have a tendency of showing commitment and delivery, but today their talent is not properly utilized, channelized and appreciated” he added. He urged the youth to develop an understanding of political affairs and economic matters, so that they could come up with doable plan of action for sustainable development. Addressing the participants, Subject Specialist at NIFSAT Prof. Dr. Javed Aziz Awan described the youth as power engine of the country which can lead the society towards new horizons of success if today we channelize them properly. He expressed his full cooperation for holding such kind of seminar addressing the youth. Career Development Officer at UAF CDC Miss Asifa Naz welcome the participants and highlighted various activities of career counseling, Interview techniques, communication skills and above all involving the youth in constructive way, which they used to perform and engaging the youth for their placements in various public and private organizations.
