A ceremony held at UAF to offer special prayers for the victims of Siachen mishaps and Bauja Air crash

A ceremony was held to offer special prayers for the victims of Siachen mishaps and Bauja Air crash at the University of the Agriculture Faisalabad. The ceremony was arranged by Society of Young Agronomists, Agrarian Society and Soil Science Society of Pakistan that was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan in front of Iqbal Auditorium. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said we salute our soldiers who risk their lives at the highest battleground in the world to defend their motherland, thousands of miles away from their homes. He also lauded army officials for conducting rescue operation in hostile weather conditions which was laudable and a point of satisfaction for the nation. He expressed sympathies with the families of the affected people. Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, Public Relations and Publications Principal Officer Prof Dr Jalal Arif, Chairman Department Agronomy Dr Asghar Ali and Assistant Prof Dr Muhammad Ashfaq Wahid also spoke on the occasion.
