The four-week training workshop on Financial and Administrative Management and E Governance for the officials and management of Agriculture Department Punjab (Research Wing) on Friday concluded at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF).

The concluding ceremony arranged by the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) UAF was presided over by UAF Treasurer/ Registrar Umar Saeed Qadri. It is the third batch of the series of training in which 87 participants were given hands on training on Financial and Administrative Management and E-Governance, PEEDA, PPRA rules, works ethics, project and media management comprising more than 80 lectures. Talking to the participants, Umar Saeed Qadri said trained and skilled manpower was prerequisite to face the challenges of the modern world. He added that workshop course was planned keeping in view the challenges and latest tools and practices meant to enhance the working efficiency of the participants. . He said that command over the advancement in the management tools will improve efficiency and also help increase agricultural productivity. He also gave the presentation on taxes and other financial and management issues. Director Research UAF Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir called for promoting the latest trend to enhance productivity. He said that more than 190 officials were being trained in these three workshops. He directed the participants to work with full devotion that will open up new avenue of the development and prosperity for the country. Dr Abdul Rasheed said that all possible resources were being utilized to ensure the state-of-the-art facilities for the training. He said that capacity building workshop will enable the participants to perform their duties on modern lines. Director Bio Technology Ayub Research Dr Zafar Iqbal said that all our efforts were being taken to facilitate the farming community with latest technologies. Dr Khakhwani from Agriculture Department thanked the university for holding the event that will help them in their practical work. Dr Khurram Zia also spoke on the occasion.
