World Space Week activities concluded here at University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The closing ceremony of the event was held at New Senate Hall with Director, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) Prof. Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir as chief guest whereas Principal Community College of the varsity Prof. Dr. Haq Nawaz Bhatti and Director Agri. Information SUPARCO Dr. Ijaz Ahmad Bhutta participated in the event as guests of honor.
As per results of the Water Rocket Competitions, students from Alhamra Girls School stood first followed by Ummal Madaras Girls High School and Govt. City Muslim High School stood second and third respectively. Female Cycle Race won by Hamna Aslam followed by Fiza Noor and Maham Ali with 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Alishba and team from Pakistan Public School clinched first position in Space Model making competition (Primary level). Abrish and team from Junior Lab Section PARS stood second and Hamza Mehboob from Ummal Madaris grabbed third position. From Secondary level Nawal Zohra and Shaukat from Ummal Mudaris Girls School grabbed top two positions and Tehreem from Laboratory School Main Campus stood third. In the Higher Secondary level, Hooria & Areba from Laboratory School & College declared 1st whereas Abdur Rafi & Team from Laboratory College and Uswa Laboratory College stood 2nd and 3rd. In the poster competition (primary level) Rehan Ahmad from JLS stood 1st followed by Mishal from Pakistan Public School and M. Basit from Challenge School System as 2nd and 3rd positions. The secondary level posters won by Areej Fatima from Lab High School followed by Eman, DPS premium Campus and Fatima ut Zahra from Ummal Madaris as 2nd and 3d position. In the Higher Secondary level posters, Umer DPS Premium Campus stood first followed by Tuba from lab School & College System and Muqadas from KIPS as 2nd and 3rd position. Quiz Competition was also part of the event. Prof. Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir along with Principal Community College Dr Haq Nawaz Bhatti and Dr. Ijaz Ahmad Bhutta distributed the prizes among the winners.
