FAISALABAD September 14: University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s seven students were awarded scholarships to study in Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China.

UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa presented the scholarships to the students at a ceremony held at the Syndicate Room. In the ceremony, Chairman Agronomy Dr Asif Tanvir, Director External Linkages, Dr Rasheed Ahmad, focal person Sarfaraz Rizwan and other notables attended the meeting. Dr Zafar Iqbal said that the students are ambassadors of Pakistan. He said that they were custodian of our culture, religion, and values. He added that they have to exhibit the excellent characters that will bring good name for the country. He added that trained manpower and quality education were prerequisite for the development of any country. He said that the UAF was enjoying the good relations with the different institutions of the world. Dr Rasheed said that that FAFU now has over 2300 faculty and staff members. He said that every year, as many as ten UAF students go to FAFU for higher education for the last three years. He added that 25 students out of 160 international students of FAFU are from Pakistan.
