The Governor/ Chancellor has been pleased to nominate Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences as Pro-Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad for a period of three years or till of date of his superannuation whichever is earlier.

He is recipients of 11 awards with most prominent distinctions including the Civil Award (President’s medal for Technology), Best University Teacher Award and gold medal from Pakistan Academy of Science. He remained 8th top productive scientist of Pakistan in the year of 2016 in the field of Agriculture declared by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology. He was awarded Research Productivity Allowance from Pakistan Council for Science for 2008 to 2015. He was awarded PAS Gold Medal 2008 in the field of agriculture by Pakistan Academy of Science. He attained the post-doctoral fellowship in Molecular Biology from Ohio State University Columbus USA and PhD in Parasitology in 1991 from UAF. He is a supervisor of 15 PhDs and co-supervisor of 12 doctor of philosophy and has produced hundreds of graduates. He has written 4 books and published five chapter in the foreign books
