Then Punjab Agriculture and Research Institute, now University of Agriculture Faisalabad, former Principal Dr Khan A Rehman’s son Khan Fasahat Rahman, the former Director Laborer, visited the UAF and witnessed the pace of the development at the campus. He made the visits to old campus, Department of Entomology and Center for Advanced Studies in Agriculture and Food Security and called on university oldest alumni Dr Abdul Qayyum, former Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, Chairman Entomology Dr Jalal Arif, Dean Animal Husbandry Dr Sajjad Khan, Director Financial Assistance Dr Hafeez Sadaqat, Dr Aslam Khan and other notables. They meeting paid the tribute to services rendered by Dr Khan A Rehman who joined the Punjab Agriculture and Research Institute, now UAF, in 1927 and served as principle in the late 1940. They meeting also discussed the possibilities of the kicking off Khan A Rehman Scholarship, establishment of Khan A Rahman Lab at the Department of Entomology, and Khan A Rehman Chair. Khan Fasahat Rahman said that it was dream of Khan A Rehman that Punjab Agriculture and Research Institute may be elevated to the status of the university that came true afterward in 1961. He said that at the time of partition in 1947, Khan A Rehman was the principal and he facilitated then administration to camp migrants here. Dr Abdul Qayyum said that the service of Dr Khan A Rahman had been written in the golden pages of the history. Dr Iqrar A Khan said that there is a need to follow in the footprints of such legends who worked day and night for the development and prosperity of the country. Dr Jalal Arif said that Khan A Rahman was the great entomologist. He added that they were making all-out efforts to continue their vision of the uplift, development and prosperity.
