All set to celebrate Independence Day at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad with traditional zeal and enthusiasm today (Tuesday). The day will dawn with the special prayers for the development and prosperity of the country at 8 am at the Central Mosque UAF. The walk will be held in front of Admin Block at 8:30 am. The flag hoisting will be arranged at 9:00 am at Iqbal Auditorium where after that the students will present the milinagmas, and performances. In the ongoing Independence week celebrations, different competitions are being held at the campus. On Monday, the University Club won the cricket match against the Combined Cricket Club with 54 runs. Whereas in tree plantation at Laboratory High School, Salman got the first position, Ali Zohaib stood second and M Saddique got the third position. For the week long Independence Day Celebrations, a committee has been constituted headed by Dean Faculty of Food Nutrition and Home Sciences Dr Masood Sadiq Butt, whereas members include Public Relations and Publications Principal Officer Dr Jalal Arif, Director Students Affairs Dr Shahbaz Talib Sahi, Chairman Sports Board Dr Muhammad Ashfaq, Dr Aslam Khan, Dr Khalil-ur-Rehaman, Dr Athar Javed, Dr Haroon Zaman, Treasurer Muhammad Tariq Saeed, Dr Ayesha Riaz, and Shahzad Mahmood. For the flag hoisting ceremony and other programs in Auditorium, the committee constituted is headed by Dr Jalal Arif Principal Officer PRP. Registrar Muhammad Hussain, Dr Khalil Ur Rehman, and Shahzad Mehmood are the members of the committee.
