University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor has assigned the duties of Principal Officer Students Affair to Dr Masood Sadiq Butt, Dean Faculty of Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences UAF . Dr. Butt will deal with Directorate of Student Affairs, Office of Senior Tutor and Foreign Student Adviser . Previously, he has also served as Director Graduate Studies, UAF; Director General, National Institute of Food Science and Technology, UAF; and visiting Professor at Department of Food Science, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA. Dr. Masood Sadiq Butt holds Ph.D. degree from UAF and Post Doctorate from North Carolina State University Raleigh, USA. He has produced 23 Ph.D. and 110 M.Sc. students in addition to about 219 research publications in journals of national and international repute with impact factor 255. Dr. Butt is credited for the Establishment of Functional and Nutraceutical Food Research Section at the National Institute of Food Science and Technology under Pak-US joint project in collaboration with University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA. Additionally, he is a professional member of various national/international associations/societies. He is recipient of Research Productivity Award from Pakistan Council for Science and Technology several times. Besides, he has also won the coveted prize on top cited research paper from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He is also a recipient of Star Laureate Award from South Asia Publications. He has participated in many national and international conferences/workshops and paid sincere contribution towards the development of curriculum for degree programs leading to B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Science and Technology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Human Nutrition Dietetics and M.Sc. (Hons.) Human Nutrition & Dietetics.
