A ten member participants of 23rd Mid Career Management Course comprising senior civil officers from National Institute of Management on Monday, paid a study visit to University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and held meeting with senior management of the varsity to explore new information about the research and development activities of the seat of higher learning.

A ten member participants of 23rd Mid Career Management Course comprising senior civil officers from National Institute of Management on Monday, paid a study visit to University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and held meeting with senior management of the varsity to explore new information about the research and development activities of the seat of higher learning. Director, Office of Research, Innovations and Commercialization (ORIC) Prof. Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir while briefing the visiting participants of the NIM at syndicate room, said that the varsity was undertaking more than 455 projects worth 2.44 billion rupees and addressing various aspects of agriculture and economic issues. He said that out of total 32 faculty development projects of Higher Education Commission (HEC) the University scientists with lion share of 11 projects are working with people from industry to come up with such a technology that could be commercialized. He said that varsity was striving hard to inculcate the youth with entrepreneurial skills enabling them to start their own business and create more jobs for other people. He told the participants that out of top 10 productive scientists of the country, four were from UAF. Dr. Zahir told that UAF scientists are vigorously reaching out at the doorstop of the farmers to educate them apply appropriate amount of fertilizers to arrest its imbalance use and loss of billions rupees at massive level. He said that UAF has published 27 multi author books on the confronting issues of the national importance. The participants were also paid visit to old campus the varsity. Later senior professor Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Randhawa handed over a UAF memento to Dr. Faheem Jehangir Khan, Directing Staff (Research) of National Institute of Management.
