The University of Agriculture Faisalabad is opening its classrooms from September 15 (today) for the senior students of MPhil and PhDs in the first phase.

UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asif Tanveer has directed officers concerned to ensure foolproof arrangements in this regard. He said that the UAF has adopted all SOPs to combat the Covid pandemic. He said that amid the situation of Covid, the UAF was adopting hybrid teaching and learning system. He said that in the first phase, UAF was opening its classrooms for the third semester and onwards of the students of MPhil, MS and MSc( H), and PhDs. He added that the online classes will continue for the rest of the students of the different undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He added that the social distance was being ensured at the classrooms, hostels and dining areas. He was of the view that the UAF took the lead in adopting the online classes from March when the pandemic hit the country. He added that the disinfect process was carried out in classrooms, hotels, and other areas to fight with the pandemic. He added that all tools including the Zooms, LMS system and other social media were used to continue the journey of academic and other research activities. He said that the UAF has developed its own sanitiser, and facemasks as per international standards. The Governor/ Chancellor, University of Agriculture Faisalabad has appointed Prof Dr Muhammad Arshad, Chairman Department Irrigation and Drainage as Dean Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology for the period of three-year till the attaining the age of superannuation whichever is earlier. Dr Arshad has a vast experience of teaching and research and has produced many PHDs and MPhil scholars. He has worked as Director Water Management Research Center UAF.
