Saylani Welfare Trust's Information Technology Department Director Zia Ullah Khan on Friday said that Saylani Trust had opened free of cost weekend course admissions of mobile apps and web development for 1000 students in the city for which applicant can apply online.

Saylani Welfare Trust's Information Technology Department Director Zia Ullah Khan on Friday said that Saylani Trust had opened free of cost weekend course admissions of mobile apps and web development for 1000 students in the city for which applicant can apply online. He was addressing an awareness seminar on mobile apps and web development arranged at Iqbal Auditorium of University of Agriculture Faisalabad. The event was arranged by Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization ( ORIC) and was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar. Zia Ullah Khan said that his Trust had established state-of-the-art computer labs for the welfare of the students. He added that under the Saylani Mass IT Training Program, 10,000 software developers will be trained in the years to come that will boost the economy by one billion dollar annually. Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said that IT sector has a great potential and we have to take our share in the international market. He said that with the skills of IT, the students had got online work and earned heavy money. He said that we have to take measures to polish entrepreneurial skills among the student to become self-employed. He added that the country was under the grip of poverty and unemployment. He said that with innovations and skilled manpower, we can compete with the rest of world. He praised the Saylani for taking revolutionary measures. Talking about UAF, he said that the UAF was making all-out efforts to produce skilled manpower and to conduct tangible researches to address the problems of a common man, industry and farming community. ORIC Director Zahir Ahmad Zahir urged the students to think out of the box and start new businesses in order to move the country to new height of economic progress and prosperity. He said that it is a era of IT, and with the courses, we can train manpower and make the measures for poverty alleviation. Chairman Department of Computer Sciences Tasleem Mustafa said that education and skilled manpower is the way forward to fight the poverty like challenges. Dr Abdul Rashed urged students to devote their time for the acquiring the knowledge that is a guarantee of a bright future. Principal Officer Laboratory School Dr Khalil Ur Rehman also spoke on the occasion.
