It was echoed at a seminar on road safety jointly organized by City Traffic Police, a local TV channel and Public Relations and Publications Department University of Agriculture Faisalabad at New Senate Hall, UAF. Chairing the session UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said that the road safety needs to be made the part of curriculum at school level. He showed his concern that many people are unaware about the traffic rules that is the deteriorating the road traffic situation. He added that there is a need to educate the people about the importance of the traffic rules in order to lower down the road accidents. Chief Traffic Officer Sayed Hussian Haider stressed upon the need to follow the traffic signals, proper lanes and wearing helmets for motorists. He said that the people least bother to get the knowledge of the traffic that is aggravating the problems. He said that City Traffic Police is taking the many measures to sensitize the public about the traffic rules and making the smooth functioning of traffic. Senior journalist Zafar Dogar said that the situation of the traffic was worsening with the passage of time. He said that if we follow the rules, it would save many precious lives. MD WASA Faqir Hussain, Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed,Dr Tahir Siddique and warden Waqas Warriach spoke on the occasion.
