Raja Rustum Ali and Rana Manzoor Ahmad Khan Greyhound Derby Championship on Friday was opened at Racecourse Ground, Jail Road, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.

In which, 100 imported and countrybred greyhounds are taking part. The event remained a source of attraction for the locals who came here to entertain and get refuge from their routine life. The Championship is divided into several rounds that will continue till Sunday (tomorrow). UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar, Principal Officer Public Relation and Publication Dr Muhammad Jalal Arif, Dr Ashfaq Chatha, Dr Haroon Zaman among others witnessed the championship. Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar said that such event depicts the colors of the rural culture. He said that it also provided the opportunity to the people to entertain and witness the greyhounds races.
