The four-week training workshop on Financial and Administrative Management and E Governance for the officials and management of Agriculture Department Punjab (Research Wing) was kicked off at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF).

The ceremony arranged by the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) UAF was presided over by Agriculture Research Punjab Director General Dr Abid Mahmood while UAF Director ORIC Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir and Dr Abdul Rasheed also spoke on the occasion. It is the third batch of ongoing training in which 87 participants are taking part. Dr Abid Mahmood said that the course of the said four weeks training was designed keeping challenges and latest tools and practices in view in order to compete with the rest of the world. He said that with the advancement in the management tools, it will not only improve efficiency but also help increase agricultural productivity. He lauded the steps of the government to boost up efficiency and working conditions at the government departments. Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir called for promoting the latest trend to enhance productivity. He said that more than 100 officials were being trained in the workshop. He directed the participants to work with full devotion that will open up new avenue of the development and prosperity for the country. Dr Abdul Rasheed said that all possible resources were being taken for the said trainings.
