It was stated by University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf while addressing the Academic Council meeting at New Senate Hall. Talking to the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that viable research solutions to the agriculture, common man and industry will help address the different issues at the national level. He urged the scientists to work ISI listed research paper that will help boost up the varsity ranking and citations. He said that curriculum reforms must be made after the specific period to compete with the rest of the world. He directed the meeting to come up with suggestions for launching of new demand-driven degree programs in order to produce quality, trained and skilled force in specific fields. He said three newly constructed blocks including Science Block, Student Teachers Centre and CT Center will be converted on solar energy in the span of two months that will not only decrease power bills but also help promote renewable energy. He directed the staff of Energy System to promote the renewable energy and to develop the technologies on solar for farmer and industry. He said that steps are afoot to make administrative matters of campus more efficient at par with international standards with IT.
