scholarships under North American Alumni Association (NAAA) Scholarship.

Ten undergraduate students of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad got the scholarships under North American Alumni Association (NAAA) Scholarship. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan along with association representatives Dr Zubair Anwar, Dr Muhammad Younis and Financial Assistance and University Advancement Prof Dr Muhammad Ahsan Khan disbursed the cheque. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that the university was providing scholarships to around 11,000 deserving students to continue their journey of education and progress. He said that by design, the university takes admission on urban-rural quota in order to equip the rural population with the modern agricultural sector. He said that UAF was setting up alumni center that will open up new avenue of the progress of the varsity Dr Zubair Anwar said that they were committed for the handholding of the deserving students. He said that NAAA Scholarship Endowment at UAF has risen to Rs 12 million with the addition of Rs 2.5 million this month. Director Financial Assistance and University Advancement Prof Dr Muhammad Ahsan Khan said that the university always lend a helping hand for the needy students. He said out of total 35000 students, one third are benefiting from scholarships. Dr Muhammad Younis lauded the steps of UAF for the development of the agriculture sector in term of trained manpower, excellent research and outreach work Assistant Director Financial Assistance Waqar Akbar also spoke on the occasion.
