The University of Agriculture Faisalabad opened on Tuesday four-day workshop on drivers’ capacity enhancement through defensive driving training course in order to polish the safe driving skills of the drivers working with the university.

FAISALABAD September 6, 2022: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad opened on Tuesday four-day workshop on drivers’ capacity enhancement through defensive driving training course in order to polish the safe driving skills of the drivers working with the university. Addressing the inaugural session as chief guest, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that safe driving measures must be ensured to reduce the road accidents that were taking many lives. He said that a minor negligence of a driver can cause an accident and endanger the lives of many. He said that the university has taken the initiative of arranging training workshop for its drivers of the motor pool as a step towards to ensure the safeguard of the people. He said that five more buses would be provided to the university. Principal Officer Motor Pool and Treasurer Umar Saeed Qadri said that training was arranged with trainers of international driving consultancy organization OSALP that will impart coaching at par with international standards. He said that as many as around 100 drivers of the university would be trained in the four days session. He said that all possible measures were being taken to provide state of the art transport facility to the students. Director Students Affairs Dr Nadeem Abbas urged the drivers of the university buses to deal with commuters students in a polite and humble way. He added that facilations to the students is our top piority. He added that the UAF is committed to ensure the modern facility to the students. OSALP International representative Tanvir Ahmad said that OSALP was functioning in 27 countries. Umar Sharif also spoke on the occasion.
