FAISALABAD September 20 2022: An agreement was signed between University of Agriculture Faisalabad and Habib Bank Limited to introduce digitization mechanism (real time) for collection of fees. The agreement was signed by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan and Senior Regional Chief HBL Nasir Mehmood. While, University Treasurer Umar Saeed Qadri, Account Officer Sarfraz Rizwan, HBL Group Head Transaction Banking Irfan Qureshi, Additional Business Manager Faraz Farrukh, Area Manager Muhammad Muzamal were also present on this occasion. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said agriculture has suffered a heavy loss and devastation due to flood, intensifying food insecurity. He urged the banks to increase the agricultural loans to help the farmers and their handling. He said that UAF has sent four trucks of essential goods, including which include rations, clothes, tents , mosquito nets, medicines and other items, to Southern Punjab to help flood victims,. He said that the UAF was using all resources to provide modern facilities for the students. He said that work has started on the digitization mechanism (real time) for the ease of depositing fees for the students. Nasir Mahmood said that the agreement with HBL will not only introduce a digitization mechanism (real time) but also students can use more than four thousand branches of HBL for fee deposit. Treasurer Umar Saeed Qadri said that all possible efforts were being made to develop the finance system of the university on modern lines. He said that digitization mechanism (real time) is an important development to provide convenience to students. He added that the UAF employees had donated one day's salary for the affected persons.
