FAISALABAD October 5, 2022: The skilled manpower is guarantee of a bright future and the country is blessed with talented and creative youth. Therefore, the students should devote their time and energies to acquire knowledge and skills and the teaching community should take tangible measures for honing God-given qualities of the students. It was stated by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan while addressing orientation and welcome ceremony for new entrants for the undergraduate programs . The Directorate of Students Affairs arranged the event. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that the UAF was established as the first-ever agriculture institute in 1906 in the subcontinent on the recommendations of the famine commission. He said that the UAF is honored of being ranked as the highest seat of the agri education and research in the country and placed among the top 100 universities of the globe in the agriculture sciences. He urged the students to devote their energies for the getting the education so that the bright future would welcome them. He said that we have to think out of the box and find the innovative solutions to the problems of the society and industry. He added that the soil of the land is fertile with intellects. He said there is a need to polish them so that they can contribute and enhance their role in the development of the country. He lamented that with the passage of time, the sport culture was declining and the playing grounds were presented a deserted look. He said that a healthy body flourishes a healthy mind. He advised the students to play sports for a heathy life. He said that the university was taking all possible steps for the ensuring quality education and research work and providing state of the art facilities.
