International Festival on Goat Show

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has opened annual contest of goat, and bull camels’ weight and beautification that will continue till June 15. The contest is arranged by Faculty of Animal Husbandry (FAH), UAF and International Goat and Bull Association. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan along with Dean FAH Prof Dr Qamar Bilal, Chairman International Goat and Bull Association Ch Ata Muhammad Gujar, Ch Muhammad Ashraf Gujjar, Director Office of Research Innovation, and Commercialization UAF Prof Dr Jafar Jaskani, Chairman Department of Entomology Prof Dr Jalal Arif, Dr Saif Ur Rehman and others inaugurated the event. The farmers across the country are taking part and meant to rise per animal production to ensure food security in the country. Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said our average per animal milk production was very low compared to the rest of the world. He said that the university was providing a platform to farmers and agricultural scientists to sit together to address their issues. He said that the fest was the annual ritual of the university. Prof Dr Qamar Bilal said that the university was taking all possible measures to strengthen farmers and agricultural experts ties.
