The University of Agriculture Faisalabad students made the formation of the word Kashmir at the University D Ground in which more than 1,000 students took part.

It was the part of UAF ongoing Kashmir Solidarity and Culture programmes being held at the campus from Feb 5 to Feb 12. The University remained a center of attraction for the locals who came to witness the models and stalls presenting the freedom movement and the culture of the country. The exhibition also shed light on pre-Islamic era and Islamic era, Pakistan Movement, Kashmiris struggle for their right of self-determination, and pre and post partition situation of the subcontinent. UAF on Friday also took out a rally from Main Market to Main Gate to express solidarity with the people of Indian Held Kashmir. The walk was led by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa. Different events including exhibition, mili nagmas, walks, movie on Kashmir Day, poster exhibitions, debating contests, dramas and cultural performance, and many more are being arranged in this regard. Talking to participants, Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa urged the world to resolve the longstanding dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said that India is used to repressive state apparatus in Indian Held Kashmiri to suppress the voice of Kashmiris of their right of self-determination. He said that there was a time when the Muslims were ruling the world due to following in the golden principles of Islam. He said that today youngsters had forgotten the rich history of Muslims who brought an ideal system. But with the passage of time, the Muslims started leaving their principles which was main reason behind their deterioration.
