The University of Agriculture Faisalabad and China Agricultural University (CAU) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in the area of academia and research.

The MoU was duly inked by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa and CAU Dean College of Horticulture Prof. Han Zhenhai, on the behalf of CAU President Prof Dr Sun Qixin. The both parties agreed that both parties will hold the joint organization of training, research, conference, and workshop programmes. They also agreed for the exchange of teaching, academic staff for the purpose in the teaching training, exchange of undergraduate graduate, and doctoral students. They will also exchange the materia, publications and other information. Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa said that the both countries had been enjoying the excellent relations. Pakistan China Economic Corridor would bring prosperity in the regions. He said both countries were enjoying excellent bilateral ties and this visit would further boost the cooperation. He said that academic ties with Chinese universities were boosted up to get benefit from each other experience. He said Chinese universities were proving their mettle globally in every filed. He said UAF Chinese Confucius Institute had been established at the UAF that is a step towards bring people of both countries come closer through language, culture and learning. Prof. Han Zhenhai, said that both universities were having the almost same age as his university was established in 1905 whereas the UAF was set up in 1906 . He said that they had 2000 faculty members and 20,000 students. Director External Linkages Dr Raheed Ahmad, Dr Amanullah Malik, Dr Shahzad Basra, and other notables also attended the ceremony .
