University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) will refurbish its International hostel and offer congenial environment to attract more students from rest of the world for higher education. UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf (HI, SI) made this assertion while participating in a welcome party of international students under the umbrella of International Club here at Student Teacher Center of the varsity.

The Vice Chancellor was flanked by Principal Officer Students’ Affairs Dr. Syed Aftab Wajid, Principal Officer Estate Management and ECDM Prof. Dr. Qamar Bilal, Director Financial Assistance Dr. Javed Akhtar, and Registrar Mr. Tariq Saeed. He said that the varsity would conduct screening test of the international students thereby to take well in time necessary remedial measures if any student found with any weakness or suffering from any disease. He assured the international students that the varsity would make the ZA Hashmi Hall a distinguished one to attract more international students “international students are at our top priority and we will give them congenial environment to transform and progress” he added. He said that the varsity was imparting quality education to its students aimed at making them competitive to the students of the other institutions. He urged the international students to interact frequently with the foreign students’ advisor whenever they need any support from the administration. He revealed that new office would be provided to international club in newly constructed student facilitation center. He asked the Registrar Mr. Tariq Saeed to formulate special rather subsidized fee structure for the international students belonging to African countries to support them get higher education of international standards with low fee structure. He underscored the need to devote their energies for attaining education so that they may be able to take reins of their country in befitting manner. He told the participants the during a short span of time, the estate management under the able leadership of Prof. Dr. Qamar Bilal had planted more than 21000 trees, striving hard to make the campus most clean and green campus of the country. He said, the management was seeking help from the students to keep the campus clean and green. Foreign Students’ Advisor Prof. Dr. M. Tahir Siddique told that international students intend to hold an alumni meeting of the club to enable old students mesmerizing their days spent at UAF. He said the varsity was providing home like environment far away from the homeland to the international students and his office is bridging both the students and the administration. He asked the vice chancellor to formulate some policy for international students to conduct recreational and study tours in each semester enable them to explore the beauty of the country. He told that his office is taking care of the needs of the foreign students since 1999. An International Student Mr. Mortala from Gambia while welcoming the new students said that they have not made any mistake while getting admission at UAF “it is the most credible and promising institution in the country attracting international students“. He said while studying at UAF the international students are supposed to be transformed and if they fail to transform themselves they would be default. President of the International Club Mr. Inamullah Mujaddi, Secretary Ihsanullah Jalali, and Vice President Mr. Ehsan Ullah Sharfi and PO Students Affairs Dr. Syed Aftab Wajid also spoke on the occasion.
