The development work on University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s Information and Communication technology’s building worth Rs 1350 million will be completed by August 15 so that relevant departments can start academic year from there with modern and state-of-the-art facilities.

This was directed by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf to Engineering and Construction Department UAF. He said that all-out efforts were being made to ensure the modern facilities to the campus community. He also directed the meeting to install solar panel at the ICT building that will help save the money and promote the alternative way of energy. He directed the department concerned to renovate admin block and main corridor and convert it as eye-catching and state-of-the-art building. He said that Iqbal Auditorium and New Senate Hall will also be renovated. He said that the steps were being taken to provide the modern facilities to the students and faculty and to redress their grievances. He said the UAF, then Punjab Agricultural College and Research Institute, was established in 1906. It is the first agri institute in the subcontinent and has given birth to many agricultural institutions. He said that we have to restore its glory. Treasurer Tariq Saeed, director planning and development Irfan Abbas, Principal Officer Estate Management Laeeq Akbar Lodhi, and others attended the meeting. Like other parts of country, all set to celebrate Independence Day with national zeal and enthusiasm at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf has constituted a committee to make the foolproof arrangement to celebrate Independence day and show the solidarity with Kashmiri. The day will dawn with prayers at the Central Mosque at 8 am. Independence walk will be held at 8:40 am from Admin block. At 8:58am siren will be sounded. Flag hoisting ceremony will be held at 9:00 am at Iqbal Auditorium. The program will continue till 11:00 am in which milli nagmas, and performances will be held.
