As many as 62 sons/daughter/ widows of University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s deceased employees who died during services were offered appointment letters on Monday.

The ceremony held at New Senate Hall was chaired by Punjab Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema who was flaked with UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf, MPA Khayal Kastro, Registrar Tariq Saeed, and Estate Management Principal Officer Dr Qamar Bilal and others. Ajmal Chema stressed upon the need to work with honesty and dedication that will open up new avenue of progress and prosperity for the country. He viewed that no nation can be worthy of its existence which does not work hard and ensure quality education. He said that UAF was one of the best universities across the globe due to its quality education and research work. He said the current government was ensuring the merit and transparency in the departments. He added that government was committed to alleviate poverty and provide employment for the people. Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that in the last eight months, the university had promoted 457 employees. He said that all-out efforts were being made to address problems of campus community. He said that university was making headway to find its space in top 500 universities in the world acclaimed rankings He said that the university has become the most attractive green campus in the country due to handwork of PO Estate Management Dr Qamar Bilal and his team . He said that the university team was working round the clock that’s why even in autumn, one can find spring in the campus due to flowering and green land. He said that the UAF was committed to ensure food security in the country. He said that without tangible research work, we can’t compete with the rest of the world. He said that university has produced 98,809 manpower so far.
