Labrador Championship was held at D-Ground of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad where hundreds of Labrador pedigreed dogs participated and exhibited their beauty. The championship was jointly organized by Kennel Club of Pakistan (KCP), Labrador Club of Pakistan in association with Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture Faisalabad here on Sunday afternoon. University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan (SI) was chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony of the championship. Mrs. Sue Marskell, a renowned Labrador breeder from UK flanked by Mrs Lisa was the judge of the contest whereas Col. (Rtd) Mr. K. M. Roy president of the Kennel Club of Pakistan, Mr. Babar Nasrullah Khan Sahi, president Labrador Club of Pakistan were the organizers. Dr. Faisal and Mr. Sheraz Hussain were the steward of the champion where Dr. Laeeq Akbar Lodhi, Mr. Waseem Abdulah, Dr. Ashar Mahfooz, Dr. Misbah Ijaz, Mr. Muhammad Ali, Dr. Mazhar Ranjha were among the organizers. The dog lovers and breeders from across the country took part in the contest where owners of the Labrador breed exhibited their dogs in the ring and received appreciations. The championship was organized into eight classes comprise of baby class, minor puppy class, puppy class, junior class, intermediate class, open class, veteran class and champion class. The Labrador were exhibited in (i) baby female, baby male (ii) minor puppy female, minor puppy male, (iii) puppy female, puppy male (iv) junior female, junior male, (v) intermediate female, intermediate male (vi) Labrador open female, Labrador open male (vii) Labrador veteran female, Labrador veteran male, and (viii) Labrador veteran champion female and Labrador champion male. The dogs with their owners or handlers participated in catwalk inside the ring and showed their beauty features.
