The University of Agriculture Faisalabad will hold entry test for under-graduate programmes on April 22 whereas last date to apply is April 17 . It was decided at the meeting of University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Deans Committee chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.

The University of Agriculture Faisalabad will hold entry test for under-graduate programmes on April 22 whereas last date to apply is April 17 . It was decided at the meeting of University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Deans Committee chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan. The test centers have been established in 12 cities including Faisalabad, Gujrawala, Lahore, Layyah, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Vehari, Burewala, and Bahawalpur. The current students of grade 12 would be admitted provisionally in the Undergraduate Programmes including BS, BSc, BBA on first year and matriculation results bases before the announcement of intermediate final results. He said that the UAF is adopting online admission mechanism for the post graduate courses. He directed the meeting to make the system easier and transparent. He said that he UAF admits the students on the district quota bases with the especial focus on rural background students, He added that the UAF was making all out efforts to ensure the quality education and provide the state-of-the-art facilities to the students. He said that agricultural scientists should up with technology development to address the problems of farming community. He said also called for promoting the cultivation of soybean that will bring the prosperity. He lauded the steps being taken on the part of the government for the development of the agriculture sector. He added that Punjab agriculture policy was being revamped that will address the woes of the farming community and will help increase the productivity. He said new agriculture policy is focusing on land and water reservation; yield gap; diversification, post harvest losses, market issues, gender mainstreaming and value addition.
